Xiaomi presenterar Smart Door Lock 2 Cat Eye Edition: smart lås med videosamtal och röständring
Xiaomi has introduced a new smart lock model - Smart Door Lock 2 Cat Eye Edition, which is already available in the Chinese market. This smart home device combines a lock, video doorbell, and security features.

The Smart Door Lock 2 Cat Eye Edition offers nine ways to unlock the door, including a built-in fingerprint scanner that recognises fingerprints in 0.5 seconds with an accuracy of 99.51%. In addition, the lock supports Bluetooth, NFC, passwords, and has a physical backup key. The locking mechanism works quietly, and there is also an automatic door lock.
This device is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera with a wide 160° viewing angle that provides clear video even in low light and also supports infrared night vision. You can view the video in real time via the Mijia app or other smart devices connected to HyperOS. The camera has AI human detection, and video is stored for three days.
Additional features include a notification system for unauthorised activities, such as open doors or attempts to break into the outdoor panel.
A unique feature is a communication system with a voice change function that allows you to disguise your identity during communication.
The lock operates on two types of batteries: 5,000mAh lithium and four alkaline batteries that provide up to six months of operation. In addition, there is a USB-C port for connecting a Power Bank in case of an emergency.
The price of Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Cat Eye Edition in China is 1499 yuan (~$207). It is not yet known when the device will be available in other regions, including Europe.
