En golfbil i G-Class-stil har lagts ut till försäljning - den ger 20 hk, har fyra displayer och kostar mer än en Chevrolet Trax

While Mercedes is just preparing to launch a more affordable version of the Geländewagen known as the 'Baby G-Class', a compact alternative - the Bodo G-Wagon - is now on sale. It's a Golfcar that looks as much like the legendary SUV as possible, but with more modest performance: power is 20bhp and top speed is 35mph (56km/h).
Here's What We Know
The design of the Bodo G-Wagon is indeed reminiscent of the G-Class. The headlights, turn signals and even the windscreen wipers all work like a real SUV. A spare wheel on the boot door and two-tone wheels add to the authenticity.

The interior is not as luxurious as in a real G-Class, but as for a Golfcar it is impressive. At the front, there is a digital instrument cluster and a small screen for the multimedia system. Two more displays are installed at the rear. Power windows, central locking, air conditioning and a cabin heating system are installed.

In terms of numbers, this is certainly not the G 580 EQ with its 122 kWh battery and four engines. The Bodo G-Wagon has a 10 kWh battery and a 20 hp (15 kW) motor, giving a range of 80 miles (129 kilometres).
How much does it cost and where can I buy one?
This particular Golfcar will be auctioned off at Mecum on 21 March, but one dealer is selling a similar model for $21,900. That's even more expensive than a new Chevrolet Trax, but you certainly won't find another car like this at your nearest golf club.
