Volvo has unveiled the EX30 Cross Country, an "off-road" version of its most popular electric crossover. The 2024 EX30 has sold 98,100 units, and now the Swedish carmaker has decided to add more of an adventurous spirit to it.

Here's What We Know

The new model gets all-wheel drive as standard, 19mm more ground clearance, all-terrain tyres and revised rear suspension settings for a more comfortable ride on rough roads. Nevertheless, it should not be called a real off-roader - it is rather a car for those who like to "get off the tarmac" at the weekend.

In continuation of traditions of other cars of Cross Country family with internal combustion engines, electric EX30 CC has received:

  • Black plastic overlays on the bodywork
  • Underbody protection plates
  • New 18-inch wheels and tyres with aggressive tread.

From a technical point of view, the EX30 CC gets a battery with a nominal capacity of 69 kWh (useful capacity 64 kWh), which provides a range of up to 427 kilometres on WLTP. Two electric motors develop 425 hp and 543 Nm of torque. With support for fast charging, from 10 per cent to 80 per cent, the battery is charged in 26 minutes.

The price of the Volvo EX30 Cross Country has not yet been revealed, but it will clearly be higher than the standard version, which starts from 36,600 euros in Germany.
