Flexis Mobility, the joint venture between Renault, Volvo and CMA CGM, has finally revealed the results of its work - three new electric vans that are set to transform European urban logistics.

Here's What We Know

All three models are built on an electric skateboard platform, share the same electronic architecture, customisable interiors and a low floor for fast loading.

Key features:

  • Range - up to 450 kilometres (WLTP);
  • Fast charging - up to 80 per cent in less than 20 minutes;
  • Driver comfort - the seat reduces stress on the knees, which is especially important when you have to sit down and stand up 250 times a day.

Models

Step-in Van (gallery below) - a mid-sized van with sliding front doors and rear roll-up doors. Flexis Mobility claims that such doors have never before been available on the European market. The 1,900 mm height allows the driver to walk freely inside.

Cargo Van - designed for last mile deliveries. It has a versatile load area that can be adapted to different sizes, heights and even refrigeration units.

Panel Van - a compact, manoeuvrable and versatile van with a height of up to 1900 mm. Flexis Mobility has not yet revealed any other details.

When to expect it?

Production will start in 2026 at Renault's plant in Sandouville, France. Flexis will sell the vehicles directly to corporate customers in the logistics sector. Renault will offer similar models under its own brand through its retail network. So far, 20 prototypes have been produced and have rolled more than 9,000 hours in testing since March 2023.

Flexis has already received 10 applications from logistics companies in France, Germany and the UK, notably Colis Privé, DB Schenker and HIVED.
