Renault Filante Record 2025: den nya eldrivna demobilen är byggd för effektivitetsrekord
Renault has decided to take a radical approach to efficiency and has unveiled the Filante Record 2025, a single-seat concept that is set to set records for energy efficiency and driving range. The car looks as if it has arrived to us from the future, but in fact pays homage to Renault's three historic records.
Here's What We Know
The Filante Record 2025 is 5.12 metres long and 1.71 metres wide, but weighs just 1,000kg - which sounds almost fantastic for an electric car. The 87kWh battery takes up 600kg of the total weight, while the remaining 400kg is the ultra-lightweight body made from a combination of aluminium, steel and carbon fibre. Renault engineers used artificial intelligence and 3D printing to optimise the weight.
The design is not only futuristic, but also as aerodynamic as possible. The front round headlights are a hint of the 40 CV des Records of the 1920s, the wheels are carried outwards like a 1934 Nervasport and the arches are a reference to the 1956 turbine-powered Etoile Filante.
To reduce power consumption, special 19-inch Michelin tyres are used, which reduce rolling resistance by 20 per cent. Renault says the battery here is not the same as in the production Scenic E-Tech, although their capacities are the same. The cells are integrated directly into the battery pack without intermediate modules. This technology reduces the weight of the unit, as well as optimising its form factor and free space.
The first public display of the Filante Record 2025 will take place at the Rétromobile show in Paris from 5 to 9 February 2025. And in the first half of the year, Renault will test it on real tracks to prove that this "electric Batmobile" is indeed worth its name.
