Den nya Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2025 har presenterats
Mitsubishi has unveiled the next generation Outlander Sport crossover for the 2025 model year in South Africa. This car will replace the morally obsolete ASX, sold since 2011. The novelty is imported from Indonesia, where it is known as Xforce.
Here's What We Know
All versions of the Outlander Sport for the South African market are powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine rated at 77 kW (105 hp) and 141 Nm of torque, which works in tandem with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), sending power to the front wheels.
The car measures 4,390 mm in length, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm and a ground clearance of 222 mm (for versions with 18-inch wheels).
The GL comes standard with items such as LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, power side mirrors, steering column adjustments, keyless entry, cloth seat upholstery, 40:20:40 folding (and reclining) rear seats, air conditioning, 8.0-inch infotainment system display, rearview camera, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, 4 airbags and hill start assist.
The next GLS trim level adds a blind spot warning system and rear cross-traffic alert. The older Aspire trim, meanwhile, boasts 18-inch wheels, leather steering wheel trim, faux leather seat upholstery, cruise control, 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging, electrochromic rearview mirror, side curtains, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system and dual-zone climate control.
The Aspire is also equipped with interior background lighting, automatic headlamps, LED fog lamps, rain sensor, power tailgate with hands-free function. Finally, the flagship Exceed stands out with a premium Yamaha sound system with 8 speakers.
The starting price for the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is R429 900 or about $22 905.
