Prototyperna Honda 0 Saloon och Honda 0 SUV gjorde sin debut på CES 2025. Produktionen kommer att starta 2026 vid Honda EV Hub-fabriken i Ohio
Today at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Honda held the world premiere of the first two models of its new 0 Series line of battery electric vehicles - the Honda 0 SUV and Honda 0 Saloon prototypes. Series models based on both prototypes will be produced at the Honda EV Hub plant in Ohio.
Honda 0 SUV Prototype
The production version of the Honda 0 SUV Prototype will be the first Honda 0 Series model to go into production based on the company's recently developed dedicated EV platform. Stylistically, the Honda 0 SUV Prototype is an extension of the Space-Hub concept model unveiled at CES 2024 and embodies the "Thin, Light, and Wise" design approach to deliver a spacious cabin with "outstanding visibility and [configuration] flexibility."
The manufacturer has promised that the Honda 0 SUV will get a wide range of next-generation technologies, including a new user interface, as well as a Steer-by-Wire approach for the steering system, where there is no physical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels, but commands are transmitted via wires.
A production model based on the Honda 0 SUV Prototype is planned for the North American market in the first half of 2026, followed by global markets including Japan and Europe.
Honda 0 Saloon Prototype
The Honda 0 Saloon, the flagship model of the Honda 0 Series, is a further development of the concept model unveiled last year at CES 2024. While maintaining the styling continuity of the concept model, the prototype features a lower height and a sportier "wedge" design. The low profile of the saloon is complemented by an interior that is more spacious than it might appear from the outside.
Honda says a production model based on the Honda 0 Saloon will first be introduced in the North American market in late 2026, and then in global markets including Japan and Europe.
Both Honda 0 Series models will be equipped with the SAE Level 3 automated driving system. With this level of autonomy, the vehicle will be able to control driving to a degree that will allow a human driver to perform a "second task" on the way to their destination, whether that's watching a film or attending a meeting remotely. However, the level of automation will be increased incrementally through OTA software updates. Increased functionality will start with eye-off technology, available during motorway congestion.
