Mazda BT-50 2025: ny 2,2-liters turbodiesel, stort emblem och utökade paket
Mazda has officially unveiled the updated BT-50 pickup truck for the 2025 model year at the Motor Expo Thailand. Major changes include a new engine, redesigned front end and improved equipment.
Here's What We Know
The Mazda BT-50 gets a new 2.2-litre MaxForce turbo diesel engine that produces 161bhp and 400Nm of torque. It replaces the 1.9-litre engine, adding an extra 13bhp and 50Nm. It is paired with a six-speed manual or a new eight-speed automatic transmission, which promises better fuel economy and a smoother ride.
Apart from this, the pickup has been left with a 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine with 187bhp and 450Nm. It works with six-speed manual or automatic, and the 4WD versions have a locking rear differential and an additional mode for off-roading.
What else has changed:
- design: the main highlight is a new grille with the largest Mazda logo in the brand's history and new LED headlights
- Colours: three new shades have been added to the palette. These are Red Earth Metallic, Geode White Pearl and Sailing Blue Metallic
- Wheels: A choice of new 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels are available.
Inside, there's a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a multimedia system with either 8-inch or 9-inch displays depending on equipment. Rear Cross Traffic Brake has been added to the list of safety systems.
How Much Do They Cost?
The updated Mazda BT-50 is already available for order in Thailand, where it is manufactured. Prices start at 760,000 baht ($22,100) for the base version with a 2.2-litre engine and rear-wheel drive. The top-end version with a 3.0-litre engine, 4WD and double cab costs 1,350,000 baht ($39,200).
