Huawei demonstrates file transfer between devices using hand gesture
Tomorrow, Huawei will unveil the Mate 70 series and the foldable Mate X6, which will run on the new HarmonyOS Next operating system. This OS is built on a brand new kernel and offers an improved user interface with new features and gesture control.
Here's What We Know
One of the key features will be the ability to transfer files between devices without physical contact. A video presented by the CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business Unit, Richard Yu, shows the process of transferring a file using gestures.
The video shows the company's new products such as the Huawei Mate 70, Huawei Mate X6 smartphones and a tablet, probably the MatePad Pro 12.2. A palm-to-fist gesture is shown above the screens of the devices, which activates the file transfer process, then a motion sends the file, and another motion with an unclenched fist over another display completes the transfer. This feature looks impressive, but its practical implementation will be evaluated once the devices are launched.
