Apple lanserar M4 Pro med stöd för Thunderbolt 5.0
Apple has officially announced its new M4 Pro chip to accompany the launch of the updated Mac Mini 2024.
Here's What We Know
The novelty is available in two versions: one has a 12-core processor and a 16-core GPU, and the other has a 14-core processor with 20-core graphics. Both versions support the latest Thunderbolt 5.0 standard.
The M4 Pro was expected to bring significant performance improvements. The first version contains 8 productive (P) and 4 efficient (E) cores, while the second version has 10 P cores and 4 E cores.
In addition to the power, the M4 Pro offers up to 64GB of unified memory, which is more than the 32GB of the regular M4. The memory bandwidth has also been increased, reaching 273 GB/s, compared to 120 GB/s for its predecessor.
The graphics capabilities of the new chip are impressive: The M4 Pro supports up to three 6K displays at 60Hz or one 8K display at 60Hz, as well as 4K at 240Hz.
Although exact specifications such as clock speeds have not yet been revealed, they can be found on benchmarking platforms such as Geekbench.
